This Santa Clara redware olla was hand coiled, baked and painted by Vickie Martinez Tafoya. Vicki is the granddaughter of Flora Naranjo who along with Vickie's mother Barbara Martinez taught her pottery. This is a nice larger pot from Vickie, in one of her popular Avanyu designs. This pot measures approximately 8 inches tall, has an opening of 4 3/4 inches diameter and is 9 3/4 inches diameter at its widest point.
You can see a little bit of residue on the bottom left from a previous price sticker as well as an area where the slip was rubbed away. Otherwise this pot is in excellent condition.$625 plus shipping.
